Why I started INDSO

Psoriasis arrived in my adult life without warning and changed the way I think about skin forever.

Until then, skincare had been an afterthought. Suddenly it was part of every single day.

Living with a chronic skin condition taught me something no product had ever communicated clearly: skin is not something to be corrected. It is something to be cared for. Gently, consistently, and with more respect than most of what was available seemed to offer.

Around me I saw the same pattern. Family members dealing with pigmentation, sensitivity, breakouts, dehydration. Shelves full of products and very little confidence in any of them. Everyone experimenting on their own skin because nobody seemed to be building for it.

The gap was obvious.

Most skincare in India was never truly designed for Indian skin. Either built for a different era or imported from markets with entirely different climates and needs. Yet we were expected to make it work in our heat, our humidity, our pollution, our everyday realities.

I am an architect by training. Before you design anything, you understand the problem completely. So that is what I did.

Eighteen months. Twenty-six formulation iterations. One insight that kept resurfacing: healthy skin starts with a healthy barrier. Before brightening. Before actives. Before anything else. Skin needs hydration, resilience, and balance first.

That became INDSO. Eight gels built on one principle: hydration and barrier first, before anything else is asked of your skin.

I still have psoriasis. INDSO did not fix me. That was never the point. The point is that irritation should not be the price of skincare. Indian skin deserves formulas built for its reality, not adapted from someone else's.

That is what we built.
